Donation FAQs

Are donations made to Shades of Grace tax-deductible?

Yes. Shades of Grace Ministries is a 501(c)(3) organization. All donations to Shades of Grace are tax deductible in the U.S. as allowed by law. However, certain donations in which the donor receives a good or service in return for a donation may be only partially deductible.

Can I donate online?

Yes. You may donate at any time via the donate page on ShadesofGrace.org.

What is a recurring donation? How can I set up a recurring donation? 

A recurring donation is a donation that occurs automatically via electronic funds transfer. You determine the interval of time at which donation transactions will automatically take place—whether it will be a monthly, quarterly, or annual donation.

Our recurring donation program is called GraceDirect. You can set up a recurring donation on the Grace Direct form here.

Is my online donation secure?

Yes. Shades of Grace uses industry-leading Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to keep your personal information as secure as possible.

Why didn’t my online donation go through?

In order to ensure the security of donations processed by Shades of Grace, we have stringent requirements in place to guard against fraudulent transactions. The following are some things that may prevent your donation from being processed:

  • The billing address or zip code you entered for your donation does not match the billing address or zip code on record with the credit card company.
  • The security code you entered for your donation is incorrect.
  • The expiration date you entered has passed or does not match what is on record with the credit card company.
  • Your credit card company has declined the charge.
  • The location of the computer you’re using to attempt the donation is in a different country than the address on your credit card.

We cannot reprocess a donation once it has failed. We recommend that you try to complete your donation again, ensuring that your zip code, address and security information match the information on file with your card issuing bank. How do I get a copy of my donation receipt?

You will receive a receipt via email after your transaction is processed. At the end of the year, you will also receive a hard-copy statement of all your donations given throughout the year. If you need another copy of your receipt, please contact us.

Donation Refund Policy

If you have made an error in making your donation, we will honor your request for a refund within 7 days of your donation.

To request a refund, call 612-888-SOGM (612-888-7646). Refunds are returned using the original method of payment.

How does Shades of Grace protect my privacy?

Shades of Grace respects and protects your privacy. We will never sell, trade or rent your personal information to other individuals or companies. The information that you provide is used only to complete your donation.
