An Evening That Will Change Your Life…

Have you ever wondered why God chose to place you upon the earth at the exact time that He did?  Why the 20th and 21st Centuries?  Why not earlier?  Why the United States? Why your specific state and region?

Addressing the men of Athens on Mars Hill, the apostle Paul tells us exactly why:

“From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us” (Acts 17:26-27).

Another translation says that God “hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation” – the times before appointed.  You are not where you are, when you are, merely by chance.

Ages before your birth, God put your entire life in order.  He assigned you to this hour, and to the exact location where you reside, years in advance.  And He did so for one purpose.  The word “appointed” in the Greek is derived from a word that means “to station.”  When our U.S. soldiers are stationed to a specific region, they are stationed for a purpose.  They have a mission, a job. They are charged with an assignment.  They do not move to that locale in order to leisurely hang out and enjoy the scenery.

Similarly, God stationed you and me here in this very hour for one task – to seek Him and find Him!  Are you seeking?  Are you reaching for Him, striving to find Him?  He is closer than you think!  And He longs to be found.  It is the whole reason you are here.  He is the only true joy you can ever know.

Beloved, I cannot convey to you the call to prayer and seeking that God has issued to my own heart and to the heart of this ministry in recent weeks. It is a burden, an urgency, a burning fire in my spirit like I have never felt.  I know without a doubt that God is working in my life in this area, and that He is leading us as a group of women into a powerful season of prayer and seeking…and finding!

During the summer months, the Holy Spirit led me to what will be the launching event of our 2009/2010 Passionate Pursuit season.  I immediately committed…and was excited!  But I never fathomed the way Heaven would descend upon this particular event, this movement.

Passionate Pursuit welcomes our new season – and this call of God – with a Concert of Prayer, an Evening of Worship and Prayer, October 1st, 7:00 p.m. on the campus of Harmony Hill Church in Lufkin, Texas.

The music is going to be anointed!The Holy Spirit chose the musicians and singers for this night and He is preparing songs that will bless God and minister to you.  There will be special guests and aspects totally new to Passionate Pursuit.  But most importantly, God is going to be there. As we touch the throne of God, it is inevitable: The Holy Spirit is going to touch you.

Beloved, I believe God put you and me on this earth together right now so that we might seek Him together in unity and passion.

God did amazing things through Passionate Pursuit last year.  In our ground-breaking first year, we grew 10 times over and the Holy Spirit moved mightily in the lives of the women who attended. God moved beyond what I had imagined!  And yet, I feel the power of God upon this coming year and the Concert of Prayer in greater ways than I have felt Him on any Passionate Pursuit before.

I believe the Holy Spirit is guiding us into the most awesome, life-changing year of Passionate Pursuit yet!  And it is going to begin with this Concert of Prayer.
